# How to move files

**How to move files?**\
Choose the file or folder you want to move and click the three-dot icon next to the Ask button.

Select the “Move to” option.<br>

A small window will pop-up and you will be directed to the “All Files” section, you should be able to see all the existing root folders on your Humata account.

Choose your target location, the selected folder will be highlighted. Then click the “Move” button.

You can also move files or folders to a subfolder. Simply click the arrow ( > ) icon of the main folder and choose an existing subfolder.

To move multiple files or folders, you need to tick the boxes next to the file or folder icon. Then, choose any of the three dot icons of the selected files and choose the “Move to” option.

Please note that if you choose the three-dot icon of an unselected file or folder, it will also be included when you relocate your files or folder to a new location.
